Visit Tips
When searching for somewhere to stay on Maui, look for places in Haiku, Makawao, Paia, Kuau, Spreklesville, Olinda, or Kula. There are no hotels on the north side of the island, where the school is located, so you will need to look for a guest house or b&b. Remember, Maui is bigger than it looks on a map, so make sure you stay as close to Makawao or Haiku as possible and yes, these are the actual names of the towns.
Once you’re here, remember that hitching to class early in the morning. is not easy, so renting a car is your best bet. There are often deals at the big corporate car rental companies and there are also some "rent-a-wreck" companies you could consider. Try both for the best deal. Either way, you will need a car on the island.
